Melvin Villarroel

Melvin arrived in Marbella, Southern Spain, in 1974 following his award of the international competition for the design of the “Hotel Puente Romano”. With 50 years of professional practice he has designed and built worldwide. With the designs of the hotel complex Abama Gran Hotel Golf Resort & Spa*****G.L on the Spanish islands of Tenerife, he set a new guidance for tourist developments. In 1998, Professor Dr. Horst W. Opaschowski certified, that MELVIN VILLARROEL´s “new tourist concept”, intellectually and creatively points the tendencies of future tourism, and this whole complex served as an “exemplary and guiding project for the twenty-first century”.
